Privacy Policy — ClearDrive Music

ClearDrive Music ("the app", "we", "us") is developed by Portor Devs. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle. In short: ClearDrive Music does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not use crash reporting services, advertising, or advertising identifiers. Nothing about you or your device is sent to us — we have no servers that receive your data.

Access the app needs on your device

To work as a music player, ClearDrive Music requests access to:

• Music and audio files on your device — to find and play your music. This stays on your device and is never uploaded.
• Internet access — to stream internet radio and podcasts, and to look up missing album artwork and track information when you ask it to.
• Network and nearby devices — to cast audio to Chromecast and compatible devices, and to support Android Auto and Wear OS controls.

These are used only to provide the app's features. The app does not access your contacts, location, camera, or messages.

Third-party services

When you use certain features, the app connects directly to third-party services. We do not send any personal data to them:

• Internet radio and podcasts — audio streams are provided by the broadcasters and podcast hosts you choose. Their own privacy practices apply to those connections.
• Music metadata and artwork lookup — when you choose to fix artwork or details, the app sends the album or artist name (not personal data) to online music databases such as MusicBrainz to find a match.

Children's privacy

ClearDrive Music is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Data storage

All of your settings, playlists, favourites and library data are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes this data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
